We stopped in here on Father’s Day after a different dinner plan fell through. The owner was extremely personable and very welcoming both to us and to my kid. The owner and the chef (also a new dad) accommodated my desired Father’s Day meal just out of pure kindness when ... they didn’t have to. The food was legitimately delicious, and we got top notch service throughout. Would absolutely go back and have already recommended it to several friends and fellow dads. Thank you for the great experience! Read more
This is our favorite neighborhood eatery! We love coming here (have been here 3 times now) and the service is always fantastic and friendly, and the food tastes fresh with generous portions. We’ve been here for brunch, lunch and dinner. I hope this place sticks around for a while because I ... recommend it to my friends all the time and always look forward to coming back. Wish I had photos of my dishes but honestly I always devour my food before I remember to take a photo. Just try it and see for yourself :) Read more
Super friendly staff Great food and they offer Bristol paper and crayon for us to draw We can leave the art with them or take it home We saw many creative guest artwork hanging on wall and they use it on menu Not the newest piece but sitting by the window , seeing busy ... traffic outside on sunny day is super relaxing Coffee was good Steak was tender they said it’s grain fed steak with home made sauce Salad really fresh and they offer sour dough bread which it good for my anti inflammatory diet Very easy to find parking on weekday morning Free street parking Read more
Visited in mid-November. Liked that they had 80s pop music playing while we were there. Ordered the veggie hash (with added avocado) with marble rye toast as well as the bigger breakfast with sourdough toast. Love the marble rye and sourdough here... Nice chew to the bite. Eggs had a good runny ... yolk and the bacon was thick. Also liked how some of the smaller bits of the potato hash were super crispy. Got to come back to try their beef dip some time. Update: We revisited in mid-December during weekend brunch. It was very busy and the menu was slightly different. Not sure if they changed menu or it's just a different menu during brunch. Got the all bacon benny with 6 thin strips of pepper bacon and the big breakfast. Toast wasn't as good as on our first visit and seemed a bit burnt. Poached eggs were disappointingly not runny. They didn't ask how I wanted my eggs and perhaps I should have mentioned I wanted them soft poached. Still want to try their beef dip but I'm probably going to avoid their busy brunch service as the food wasn't as good this time around. Read more
An East Vancouver favorite for me. I can grab a delicious breakfast in this cozy restaurant. A great beer and bar selection. I always had great food served by friendly staff. Local art is displayed in restaurant to be enjoyed or purchased.
