Great dinner experience. Casual but classy ambience. Excellent service with some great recommendations and nice pacing between meals. We shared the beet salad, cauliflower, fried chicken and pork belly. All very good. Cauliflower was the stand out, tender and nicely seasoned with the addition of the turmeric vinegar. Chicken ... was excellent, the maple sauce didn’t overpower the flavor of the chicken. Normally not a fan of beetroot salads but this was excellent and a light way to start the meal. The first time we came here, we had no idea that it was a Michelin star guide until we walked in. The food was fantastic and the service was impeccable. Thoroughly enjoyed my experience at the nightingale on West Hastings street! From the ambiance to the service to the quality of food, everything was a 10/10 and I can’t wait to come back again. We came during happy hour (3-5pm) which has a wide selection of snacks. Obviously we tried a ... bunch of dishes including the beet salad, cauliflower hummus & bread, roasted portobello pizza, rigatoni, seafood spaghetti and the salted caramel cake for dessert. Quite possibly one of the best looking interiors of a restaurant I've seen in downtown. A nice variety of food to choose from as well. We had the fried buttermilk chicken w/pickle, Chorizo Pizza, and the Rigatoni. All 3 dishes were great but the Rigatoni really stood out. For dessert we ... had the salted caramel butterscotch. First time here and would recommend. The atmosphere is great and the service even better. The food was overall good, with some dishes more memorable than others. The seared tuna was AMAZING - super fresh tasting, especially with that lime sauce. The rigatoni was equally as good 🤤 I don’t ... usually eat spicy but this spice was so enjoyable! The ravioli was a bit too salty. The sauce for the fried chicken and the Brussels sprouts were unique and the pizza was good. Drinks were yummy too! Our waiter was super patient with us and would tell us what’s in each dish when we asked. Also coincidentally we had the same birthday that I was celebrating that day. Also - happy that they allowed us to bring outside cake as many restaurants don’t allow. I booked one month in advance but still got a late time at 8:45pm, in which the restaurant was still full.
