Reviews for La Casa Gelato in Vancouver, British Columbia
Wow! So much variety….for novices like the 3 of us it’s hard to make a decision. The system her is great though because after entering you line up to pay ($6.75/1 scoop- cone or cup) and are given a chip. You then make your way into the rest of the shop where 3 ... walls of counter display all the gelato and sorbets. We got: rum raisin, mango sorbet and white chocolate chocolate brownie. Delicious. We timed our visit perfectly after having lunch as they don’t open until 1pm-10pm. Street parking or a lot across the street. Read more
My partner and I finally made it here and we each got one scoop of ice cream. There are so many great flavours but it is not possible to try any unfortunately. My partner got bubblegum which he enjoyed and I got white chocolate. I would come here again and ... try another flavour. Read more
Okay, I absolutely love this place and it's an iconic staple of Vancouver. Like, this place is ICONIC. But, I'm sad about the lack of taste testing! I wish I could pay like $5-10 just to do a taste run. I wouldn't mind paying a bit extra for the experience. ... That's my favourite part. However, even without the taste testing my date and I had a really cute time at the ice cream shop. I tried the pop corn caramel and they tried the fig and mascarpone. It's fun to go here and have flavours you can't have at the grocery store. (If I had a chance to taste test, I would have liked to try other strange flavours like corn!) 10/10 would recommend. My initial visit to the cafe left me impressed by the array of flavors and delightful bakery offerings. However, the absence of tasting options posed a challenge in selecting new flavors to try. Despite the tempting variety, the lack of tasting opportunities made it difficult to confidently choose. Consequently, the ... inconvenience of a lengthy drive without the assurance of enjoying new flavors dampened the overall experience. Additionally, while the atmosphere was vibrant, the absence of seating arrangements was noticeable. Regarding service, it was satisfactory, albeit not particularly warm or exceptional. Food- 230 flavours and no tasting allowed Atmosphere- colourful, no siting arrangements Service - is ok won’t say super friendly or great Read more
Wow, what a place. Perfect stop to have any flavor of ice cream you can think of. Being there for the first time the experience was a very happy one. 238 flavors the colors and name of the flavor gets you in a confusing mood of deciding which one ... to go for, tried the salted caramel oreo and chocolate fudge brownies was the less complicated option for me and it was what I expected. Overall the flavors are good and the price is also okay. Totally recommended to take your friends and family who are visiting Vancouver. Read more
