Earls - Vancouver, British Columbia

We are celebrating a friend's birthday and want to give him a surprise dinner. I personally like Cactus Club Café, but my friends suggested going to Earls in Yaletown because they think the food there is good, and dogs are allowed on the patio. We dropped off the cake at ... the restaurant at 3:30 PM and asked them to seat us in a more private area. The restaurant staff were very friendly, so everything was arranged smoothly. Because the traffic was very smooth today, everyone arrived by 4:30 PM, just in time to order from the happy hour menu. We ordered Truffle Fries, Kale, Mushroom Pizza, Angry Chicken Lettuce Wraps, Jumbo Lump Crab Cake, 6oz Steak Frites, and Truffle Tortellini with Grilled Chicken. I enjoyed all the dishes, especially the pizza crust and mushrooms, which were delicious, and the cream on the truffle tortellini was flavorful. The chicken was a little crispy on the outside, with a well-balanced sweet and spicy flavor. The only thing worth mentioning is that the greens on the steak dish weren’t fresh. The staff provided excellent service and continuously checked on us. In the end, because we were too full, we couldn’t eat the cake we brought, and to our surprise, the restaurant also provided two desserts, making our celebration perfect. Based on today's wonderful experience, I will visit again and highly recommend this place for gatherings with friends. Read more

I came here for dinner tonight with my gf because we have heard a lot of great things about Earl's but I have never been here. I wasn't sure what to expect but any expectations I would've had they just beyond exceeded! I tried the truffle fries and they were so good! ... My gf had ordered a Mai-Tai which I took a few sips of and quite enjoyed it. My drinks I ordered were vodka-based and they were really good! Our server Mil was superb with us! She is super nice and friendly, very well informed of items we had asked her about and also had a lot of great recommendations for us! Intrigued by both positive and negative reviews, my curiosity led me to experience the restaurant firsthand. Our afternoon lunch for my wife's birthday was truly delightful, making the drive from Richmond worthwhile. The surprise addition of a thoughtful happy birthday card added a warm touch to the occasion. Surprisingly, parking ... was only $2 for an hour. The excellent service, as my son rightly pointed out, added to the overall charm. We look forward to returning. After all, the best food is where the service is exceptional. Read more

I go there for lunch or happy hour. It's in the heart of Yaletown with decent food, delicious cocktails, and great atmosphere. The servers are friendly and there is tons of room so it's perfect for larger parties. In the summer, there is outdoor seating to soak in the sun! I ... enjoyed their nachos and truffle fries during happy hour. Their Santa Fe Chicken Salad might be a bit expensive but I always love eating it sitting on their patio during summer.
