Went for Dine-out 2019. It was not bad but nothing outstanding. Plates are on the smaller side. The menu was not exactly the same as displayed on the dine-out page and their website. We got the roasted eggplant with black garlic sauce (good, but too bad there wasn't bread to get all ... the yummy sauce), the scorpionfish risotto (just ok, not bad), the beef tongue with giagande beans (tasty beef!) and the ricotta + sour cream + olive oil (small but good). Fantastic place. Chill vibe with simple, designerly decor. There were two guys working in there - a bartender and a cook - and both were exceptional at their jobs. Bartender recommended a cider and it was the first cider my wife has ever enjoyed. The food was delicious... the most ... creative plates we have ever tried. We ordered the pasta that the cook chooses as well as some vegetable dishes and were absolutely blown away. Come here! Read more

Came here for some drinks and this place has good a vibe and great ambience going on. Pretty busy during Friday. Definitely a good place to go for cocktails, with a long list of ciders available. Crowbar impressed us with the sophisticated and imaginative dishes that go in shocking contrast to the unassuming and straightforward interior. The Chef Justin Ell carefully crafts the short but diverse menu and takes care of all the cooking with no sous-Chefs in the kitchen. The food stands out: the small ... plates are exciting, many of them are heavily influenced by Italian cuisine and focused on offals. It may not please everybody, but it's incredibly tasty and worth trying. The place is usually crowded, noisy and not very comfortable for a casual dinner, though. Justin Ell's sustainable and inventive cooking transforms Crowbar into a must-visit spot on a busy food map of Vancouver. Highly recommended! Read more

Great place for cocktails, small plates and cool atmosphere. The food is extravagant! Cocktails are ecclectic and the staff are very attentive and friendly.
