Amazing hours for a patisserie/cafe of this calibre. Came by around 1930 and the seating was about 80% full with decently quick turnover. You pick your dessert at the dessert counter and give your name, then head to the drinks counter to order drinks and pay. Had the strawberry basil tart ... and iced mocha. The tart was so refreshing and light, felt perfect as an after-dinner dessert. The basil cream surprised me with how much I liked it, perfect level of sweetness (‘not too sweet’) with notable basil flavour, matched perfectly with the biscuit base and mildly tart strawberry. My absolute favorite patisserie in Vancouver! Their cakes and pastries are always fresh and made with high-quality ingredients. Every bite of their sweets just transports you to heaven! I also love that they update their menu every six months. Even though I sometimes miss some of the cakes, there's always ... something new and exciting to fall in love with! Sinful, decadent and worth it. Amazing desserts with a wide range of choices. Not just your standard fare - the earl grey chocolate blackberry cake had coconut, crunchy base, and an amazing dark chocolate that worked perfectly together. You may want to make this your meal rather than just dessert.
