Prado Cafe - Vancouver, British Columbia

One of the best coffee I’ve had. In addition to oat and almond milk, they offered me soy milk that is not that common any more. The quinoa bowl has arugula and black beans , corn and tastes like a refreshing salad.

Used to go here just for the carrot cake but seems like they have changed the recipe and replaced the cream cheese frosting with an overly sweet and more generic cake frosting. I could barely taste the cream cheese tartness at all and it left a sickly sweet aftertaste. It ... used to be the best carrot cake but now I wouldn't purchase it again. Good strong coffee! Nice rustic ambience but very busy most of the time so hard to find a place to sit down.

I'm a takeout kinda of person as I always visit between photography jobs. The staff are wonderful, pleasant/relaxing atmosphere and the coffee never disappoints. I finally went for the carrot cake yesterday and it's the best I've ever had, there's something different then the usual recipe. Great cafe! I met my friend here, she had a matcha latte and I got a chai. The atmosphere is lovely and there is plenty of seating. I didn't try any of the food on this occasion but most of it looked yummy. I will be back got sure.
