L’Atelier Patisserie - Vancouver, British Columbia

I've been a big fan of L'Atelier since their old location. The new shop is filled with warming ambience and the entire space is just so pretty. The pastries are always stunning (especially the croissants!) and the quality has also been amazingly consistent!!

When you don’t know what kinds of pastries to eat, just go to L’Atelier, it will not disappoint you! I never write any review before in Google, but feel like I should leave a good one to compliment this cute cafe! The chef is very welcoming to all guests. They always ... use the freshest ingredients to make the good stuff, I usually choose the breakfast sandwich and croissant as it is very flaky and buttery, but this time I choose the chocolate hazelnut trianon and the Vanilla Flan this time, it’s not too sweet, the vanilla flavor is strong enough, and the hazelnut one is nutty, worth for a try! 😋😋 Read more

The staff were lovely but the food was not. I ordered a salmon baguette sandwich and the baguette was as hard as a rock. I struggled to even chew it. A baguette sandwich should have more filling (salmon, cream cheese, etc). The bread was overpowering and too corn-starchy. For a ... French bakery, it should definitely improve on the baguette quality. The cake was too sweet. It lacked authenticity in flavour but I do have to admit the presentation is nice. A corner pastry cafe with various types of bake stuffs. Their plain croissant is so soft inside with lots of butter. The desserts looks beautiful, we also order the yuzu tart, it’s so good 🙌

I love this place! It is quite small, but if you are able to get there in some of the off hours just to enjoy a cup of coffee and a pastry, it is a must. The croissants are always fresh, and their pain au chocolate, is the perfect amount ... of buttery and sweetness. My go to is always a cappuccino with a pain au chocolate along with their smoked salmon sandwich. I crave this all the time! They also have a number of cute tarts and other small pastries to serve as dessert at home. Do be aware that seating is limited, but they do try to uphold only a 45 min seating time, which I think is reasonable. Read more
