Popped in here to grab a treat on my way back from dinner. Had not heard of this place before but saw it on the google. I planned to grab a single donut - but alas, could not decide. Luckily for me they had a to go tray loaded and ... ready. Delicious! Much better than the place that rhymes with jimmy’s. Read more
They had so many items here. It was great. I had the assorted Vietnamese sub and it was very fresh tasting, and at aroun $7 I cant complain. I also had a chocolate glazed donut that was really good. It tasted like Tim Hortons back when Tim Hortons was good. I ... also had a small coffee which is great for the price, especially since sometimes you don't want a very big coffee, just something to have with your donuts. The fries and fried chicken were very yummy too, not amazing food but just good diner food. Read more
Established in 1987, Duffin’s is an ideal place to visit for lunch or a swift snack after work. The menu offers a diverse selection of items. Freshly prepared sandwiches, fried chicken, and doughnuts stand out. The prices are reasonable. The sandwiches are flavorful and come with ample portions of meat ... and toppings. The fried chicken boasts a crunchy exterior and succulent interior, making it an excellent comfort food choice. The doughnuts serve as a delightful dessert to appease any sweet tooth. In summary, this establishment is a fantastic option for a swift and fulfilling meal that won't strain your wallet. Read more
Why isnt there rap songs and music videos about this place. It is so unique and such a cool vibe to it. There is lots of seating, lots of parking. Some food is ready to serve and some food is made to order. I usually get a combo of both ... so the wait time was around 10 minutes. Staff were really awesome too Read more
Very disappointed in what is my first and probably last visit to Duffins donuts. Having lived in the area for 6 years, I know it’s a South/East Van staple and has a cult following. I got half a dozen donuts for $10, a full dozen would be $19. This price is ... on par, or slightly higher than other donut places like Krispy Kreme. However, Duffins doesn’t accept Credit cards, only debit or cash. I know it’s because of merchant fees, but given their prices and how popular they are, they should start accepting credit cards because they can absolutely afford to. What’s worse, and in my opinion unacceptable is the condition of their bathroom. Not just because it wasn’t clean but because the owners have not maintained it at all. The walls are falling apart and the insulation inside the walls is coming out. There’s graffiti all over and the bathroom is just in a shameful condition. Customers may not be able to see inside the kitchen but they can extrapolate how it might be based on the bathroom and the inside of the restaurant. I have attached photos to my review so others can get a better idea. Their slogan is “come in for a better taste” but the poor state of their bathroom, their service, and payment restriction left a bad taste in my mouth. Read more
