Chiffon Patisserie - Vancouver, British Columbia

Usually I visit a restaurant 3 times before writing a review, or I just won't bother writing a review at all. What's inexcusable is overcharging on top of unfriendly service and poor food quality or presentation when there are no other customers. I'll let the pictures do the talking (the ... bottom of the eggs were burnt black cancerous carcinogenic plastic). Also when I wiped my mouth with the napkin, it smelled like mildew! I used to live in the same building as Chiffon Patisserie. It was one of my favourite places to eat because of its gorgeous and delicious food. I live far from this location now, but I was driving by and when I saw it, I remembered how excellent it was ... and was excited to stop in for the first time in years. I was very disappointed to see that the renovations have made it look like a dark run of the mil cafe and that all of the delicious food was gone off of the menu. They are now a very basic and low quality coffee shop. Damn. This place was a real hidden gem. Read more

I’ve eaten here twice so far as it’s close to work. The staff who I think are the proprietors of the restaurant are friendly and courteous. The food is really good. I had a breakfast wrap and it was made fresh and really flavourful. Great for a quick bite when ... working. Would define recommend! Read more

A pleasant little eatery downtown. Not sure it should still be called a patisserie as their pastry selection is good but limited. Three is a friendly neighborhood feel. They have a variety of lunch and breakfast items. Ready made salads, desserts, and sandwiches. They also have a number of entrees ... that you can order and are hand made on the spot (5 to 10 minutes). The interior is clean and cozy if a little dated. It's a great place to sit down and have a coffee and a small meal. No parking except for street meters or a nearby parkade. Staff are friendly, bathrooms are ok. It could sit a small group of maybe eight people and they do have outdoor seating for four. Read more

Great lunches! I'm a classic soup and sandwich fan and finding Chiffons was a true gem. A lunch meal will average about $11 and the food is consistently great tasting. Although the hours seem to fluctuate the staff are friendly and it's an added bonus that they seem to be ... good with faces and have no problem making small talk with semi-regulars.
