Caffè Cittadella - Vancouver, British Columbia

I used to come to this place all the time when I lived in the area. Was nearby and decided to stop for a latte. Definitely seems like new management as everything is completely different as I remembered it. The latte was terrible , like zero espresso flavour and it ... was boiling hot and undrinkable for 10 minutes until it cooled down. They won’t even let you use your laptop or iPad while drinking your $6 drink. Too bad because this place used to be a special environment and atmosphere for a coffee shop(heritage house). Now it’s just gimmick menus, stale pastries and subpar espresso drinks. Will not return or recommend. Read more

The view is beautiful, the service is good but the food is not very good. Almond Croissant has a chemical smell rather than a natural flavor, Confetti square is too sweet.

Well, first of all, it's a heritage house. It's beautiful and elegant from the outside. Very well kept. Very cutely decorated. As you enter, there is this beautiful character staircase. You need to cross it and get on the left side to see the counter. People are very friendly and ... nice. Cute little cafe with lots of options to choose from. The cakes were absolutely delicious. I personally loved the Chai latte, it was damn good! And they have a cute nook upstairs, loved it. Overall a great experience. Read more

The atmosphere is cute (and I love how it is a heritage site), but it is on the dirty side. Food was decent (though the Ovaltine was bland and not flavourful), and the staff on site was nice and attentive.

Caffe Cittadella fell short of expectations, proving to be a significant letdown. Despite the friendly staff, the establishment exudes untapped potential. Upon entering, one anticipates an extraordinary Hungarian coffee experience, yet the reality disappoints as it feels like a prison. The exorbitant prices coupled with mediocre food leave much to ... be desired. While the coffee is passable, the promised Indian coffee fails to deliver the anticipated depth, merely relying on a sprinkle of cinnamon powder. Today's visit, a long-awaited excursion, unfortunately, resulted in unfulfilled anticipation, despite having ample time to spare in the area. Read more
