Brioche - Vancouver, British Columbia

One of my favourite places in Gastown for a meal, hangout, catching up with a friend, pastry, or a beautiful work session. The owners and service were all wonderful. The spaghetti bolognaise ranks very high on my list of favourites - high quality and great taste at a pretty good price ... for the area and the general price escalations everywhere ($22). Not spicy at all, which is my preference and also the classic recipe as I understand it. Has my Obligatory Coca Cola enhancement to that meal :) but also has wine, tons of desserts, a full coffee service menu, lots and lots of great seating with great views. This place is much more quiet than Old Spaghetti Factory down the street and much more local. Brioche been in Gastown since 2003 and one of the people working here told me they’ve been here 12 years. We had a great time at Brioche. The food portions are massive and delicious. The eggs were well made and the bread was soft and seasoned so well! The staff here was very accommodating...we were carrying luggage since we stopped on our way to the airport and they made sure ... they gave us a table where we could easily store our luggage without obstructing the walking path. What a lovely small restaurant with a wide selection for any time of the day. I was there for a breakfast and I went with omlette and it was delicious. The fruit on the side was like right out of the field, very fresh very yummy. The bread was not ... so fresh but they warmed it up in the oven so it was crispy and delicious with some olive oil on top. Best in town! After going to Brioche for many years. We had Eduardo & his awesome team cater our wedding. It was the best wedding feast Ive ever had. There was enough food afterwards for everyone to take some home. Everyone there was so impressed with the food quality & portions. The taste & ... presentation was beyond expectation. Phenomenal is the best way to describe it. Brioche is a culinary gem in the city of Vancouver. If you’ve never been there yet……..go right now! :) Read more

Yes, things are downtown price. BUT! Taste was amazing. Service was nice and fast, atmosphere is so cozy and welcoming. We had coffee and dessert which exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend this place to grab a bite or a drink when you're visiting gas town. I will def come back ... for a full meal next time Read more
