Joe and his team have been working their magic here for many years. Fresh, inexpensive, and delicious- try the tuna salad with capers. Friendly and uber efficient staff makes for a great express lunch experience. Thanks Joe!

Decent sandwich and selection of muffins etc. Fairy quiet when I was there just after 1pm which I appreciated. Nice staff too. Worth a stop for a quick, fairly simple and fuss free, yet tasty sandwich.

Few businesses have longevity, but this place.. ? 20 years? must be? That shows a dedication to quality, and innovation, and open-mindedness to go with the market. The staff seem like long-timers?; they stay there for years and that means either the customers are happy/regulars or the bosses are good ... to them?.. or both. Win:Win. Food and Beverages are to a high standard, the decor and music non-generic... to me this is how Vancouver shops 'used to be'... its a hidden jewel of the D/T core. Read more

The sandwiches are good, filling, and reasonably priced when I can get one. I've gone here a small handful of times and generally have no issues. However, the last three times in a row that I tried, they were out of what I wanted to order, and the third time ... they were out of bread so they couldn't give me anything (as far as a sandwich, anyways). I don't want to be too harsh because the food is good and the service is friendly, but it's frustrating to think that a sandwich shop would be inadequately prepared to get them through the lunch hour on weekdays. I'd definitely recommend giving them a shot, just don't have your heart set on them having what you go in wanting to order. Read more
