Small, cozy & peaceful tea shop where you can do tea tasting with wide variety of tea from Asia. They also have some teawares for sale. My partner and I went in for a regular tea tasting session ($60/person) led by Jude on a weekend afternoon. We tried 4 different types ... of tea (some of them we picked, others recommended) to try. Jude was very knowledgeable and friendly, and the teas were quite good & interesting. However, Jude was by himself, and he got super busy with dealing with other customers during our tea session, so we ended up pouring & drinking tea ourselves when he was busy. Of couse, he was apologetic ahout it, several times for not being able to take care of us. Overall, the tea tasting itself was good, but took way longer than an hour, and the session ended up being not as intimate as we hoped. I would not necessarily do another tea tasting for $60, but would gladly come again for a cup of tea, which is about $15. There are only 3 tables where customers can sit (max. of 10 people total in the shop), so I would only recommend this place for a group of 4 or less if you would like to sit down for some tea. Strongly recommended for a cup of tea & tea tasting session on a quiet day! Read more
My fiancé discovered this place and brought me there as a surprise. It turned out to be a delightful experience. We tasted the Citrus Pu'er and Anji Baicha teas, each offering a unique flavor profile - the aged richness of the 13-year Pu'er and the unmistakable freshness of the first-harvest ... Anji Baicha. The owner provided excellent service. The shop was quite busy at the time and he still managed to take care of us. He refill our tea once we finish our current cup. The ambiance of the establishment added to the overall enjoyment, creating a cozy space to savor our tea. We also decided to take home a bag of their Green Peony. They do have an exceptional good quality of their tea leaves. We also ordered a bottole of the kombucha that they self-made in the shop. In summary, our visit left us thoroughly satisfied. This place is definitely going to be our go to place in the future for teas. They provide way better quality of tea leaves than any other places we have been to in Vancouver. You don't have to worry about getting those bad tea leaves that you get from supermarket. You also don't need to worry about being not familiar with the tea culture as the owner was really good at introducing the teas in English. It was an amazing experience. Read more
Cultivate tea is a truly special place. This was me and my friend's first time and it was transformative. I truly recommend visiting this tea shop. The moment you step into the space you feel transported to a calm, warm environment with the most tranquil music and calming aromas. The interior ... is designed by the owners and every aspect of the space is custom made. The meticulous eye for quality and taste shows in every piece of the store and extends into the tea themselves. My friend booked us a tea tasting as a birthday gift to me and were met by one of the owners, Jude. He was extremely welcoming and kind to us. He started by explaining the process of tasting, including the temperatures and order. Jude thoughtfully arranged our tea choices into a tasting journey. Throughout the tasting we learned more about the sourcing of the tea, Jude's inspirations and life. I recommend you ask about the tea and business when you visit! Jude is a multitalented and kind individual with a lot of dedication to his teas. His happiness and love of tea is contagious. The teas themselves are impeccable. We tried the new Pu'erh Fountain of the Forest tea, some Yuzu black tea, gold osmanthus tea, and the Gardenia Bird's Tongue. Never have I had such amazing tea. We were encouraged to smell and engage with each tea presented. We left with a bag of almost every tea we had tried because we loved them so much! I even bought a gaiwan early this week so I could enjoy the tea to its fullest. The tea tasting session is an amazing gift to give to others, it was one of the best gifts I have ever received. We will definitely be coming back. Thanks again! Read more
I initially went in search of the quality gift sets I found on their online site and walked away with a great experience. Very serene interior, great curated tea selection and custom ceramic pieces on display. Owner is reserved, yet personable and knowledgeable as well. FYI They have limited seating that is catered ... towards a more intimate tea service offered (nice date idea for sure). Read more
