Steamworks Brew Pub - Vancouver, British Columbia

I recently dined at Steamworks Brewpub and had a fantastic experience. Despite a slight delay in receiving our food, the butter chicken was well worth the wait. The tender chicken, rich and creamy sauce, and aromatic spices made it a standout dish. Additionally, the poutine seemed authentic, with crispy fries, ... savory gravy, and gooey cheese curds. Fantastic place. Visited Gastown location bedore Rolling Stones show and returned afterward. Liked it so much we returned the next day again. Bartenders Nick and Makaela were the best! Next day the same to be said for JT and Stephanie. The NxNW IPA is a favorite. ... Hoppy! Not fruity or malty. Cheers and thanks! We loved it and stopped in for an IPA a second time. Our first time, there was a very happy group of people celebrating their convention. Even the bartender commented that they were lively. We found another room that was not as noisy and listened to their cheering. There are ... many different levels, including an indoor and outdoor serving area, as well as the rooms in the downstairs. The food looks amazing. This is in a picturesque part of town, especially the view from the water and the train station at night. Read more

Great beers, fun atmosphere. Had a 4 beer flight from a very wide selection of steam works brews to choose from - hit the spot. Poutine had great fries, cheese, gravy but added brisket that turned out to be nearly all the fat chunks. Pizza was tasty ... but very greasy, thin crust didn’t hold up and the limpness required using a fork. Salmon burger was good. While beers were the best part, the food was good, but not great. We went here mainly for the beer, but when we saw 'beer soup' on the menu, we just HAD to try it! I had the chowder, my wife had the beer soup. We always swap over halfway so we can both taste each other's. She REALLY didn't want to swap, ... saying the beer soup was the best soup she's ever tasted! Mind you, that's exactly how I felt about the chowder. We moved on to a seafood linguine - oh my God, just heaven on a plate. I kept putting my fork down between mouthfuls, it was SOOOOOOOOO TASTY!!!
