Ok I was here once before about 5 months ago, I had met a few people at the Narrow Bar and they wanted to go down to this Irish Pub. I had a great time there that night as they had a great band playing old rock ... music "Pat Benatar ' cover songs were great to dance to at this busy pub! Anyways I was "Doordashing" the other night and picked up a order for the pub and long story short they were not ready to begin there Doordash delivery service(which I think will be under a different name than the pub and specialise in pot pies! HELL YA i'll be calling doordash myself for these creative pies because there Chef has some cool choices already on the regular menu. The reason i know this because i had to cancel the order as Doordash made an error on there service starting so I was out on this delivery. The acting manager that evening apologised and offered to by me a meal from there menu because of the time and possible deliveries I may have missed! I was actually shocked "I was being treated like a customer" Holly S%iT this restaurant pub gets that I am a customer doing the delivery for the client. So they treated me like a guest and a potential customer in the future. The young man who was acting manager that evening even had a Irish accent and I must say "I love the Irish' here in Vancouver-there all young funny happy to be here and often working in restaurants. They all have one thing in common-they say hello to you and goodnight when you leave -engage in conversation and crack good humour so yes the Dublin has real Irish servers that know how to be genuine and appear to like there jobs! I'm getting tripped out with some of the snotty attitudes I get from staff at other restaurants in the city, I am a server of 30 years so my expectations of at least be personable and polite to guests is a must and sadly not done with doordashing some nights. This tasteful Irish pub near the trendy Olympic Village is on top of the basics like the mentioned above and great customer service. There menu has interesting choices if you don't want the traditional pub fare like roast beef/ burgers/grilled chicken and a lot more as it was hard to decide because it all looked good! I went with the BBQ Pork Belly and Kimchi Noodle Bowl-It was very good and the vermicelli noodles were perfect with green onion cilantro cream BBQ pork belly Kimchi touch of spice out of the box choice which was cool to see as there Chef put some heart into this trendy genuine Irish pub that serves you like a valued customer lol ! So yes I'll be back with friends and try more off the menu as i'm a fan and recommend this pub for service ,food .atmosphere as Dubn Linn Gate Irish pub is worth checking out! Read more
