Caffe Brixton - Vancouver, British Columbia

Pretty shoddy service and a shady operation. Their website indicates that all meals are $5.95 all day every day. The menu at the bar lists food items in the $12-20 range. When confronted about this discrepancy, the bar tender just shrugged it off. No apology, no promise to do anything ... about it. We realized that one of our friends was going to be DJing there that night, so despite our misgivings, we decided to stick it out and order some food. We were then told that they needed to close the bar for an hour to set up for the event. It's a tiny venue and was apparently a free event (if you believe anything these guys say), but instead of continuing to serve us drinks while they set up around us, they insisted on kicking us out. Went here last night for the first time and was blown away. Such a great little spot. It was packed and these 2 dudes working absolutely killed it. They were not expecting a flood of a hundred people packing in there and these guys kept ... up....drinks were fast....food was great.....service was amazing.....great night :) Read more

They've really upped their drink menu! If you've avoided Caffè Brixton, it's time to come back for their revamp. I love their new $5.95 menu. Good food and drinks. Though I miss the daily specials, their new menu is great and they've got a great atmosphere with lots of food and ... drinks to choose from! Read more

I love this place. The staff is nice and the pizza had a nice chewy thin crust. Excellent selection of local craft beer.

Used to be great, now it's lost it's way under new ownership. All is not lost as they are still good at coffee and there is a decent local beer selection. But, needing a key to use the restroom in a place that sells alcohol, ridiculous! Also, the food is ... mediocre at best now. Read more
