Uprising Breads Bakery - Vancouver, British Columbia

All the baked products are good and the coffee sucks. However, the staff today were visibly in the ‘I don’t want to be here’ mood when I visited the bakery around 5:15 ish. I understand customer service is tough but it wouldn’t hurt if they smile back at the customer ... who’s treating them very nicely. Saw a customer walk in, he was smiling at the staff member and interacting very politely but the staff member just had a dead-panned look. Don’t know about other days but today it wasn’t it. Forgive me. I started this post after I ate my ham and swiss sandwich. This bakery has a wide selection of breads, desserts, snacks, and sandwiches. First time here, so it took me at least 5 or 6 minutes for me to decide since I didn't dnt have a guest ... with me to share various plates. I went with the ham and swiss sandwich, a peanut butter / chocolate chunk cookie, and a gingersnap cookie, as well as a medium roast coffee. The sandwich was better than homemade. It had all the fixings, and the fresh swiss cheese really brought it in. The cookies, I'm sure, were made with love as well. All I can taste is homemade goodness. They have many vegan and gluten-free options as well. Perfect place for a meal, anytime of the day. My plane doesn't leave until this evening. I'm coming back for lunch. Read more

This place has a lot of options, salty and sweet desserts and bread, you can choose from a lot of options, the banana bread and the apple ginger bourbon tart are delicious, also they have great coffee and tea, also soups and frozen goods, the staff was very helpful and ... friendly Read more

Cozy homey neighborhood cafe/bakery! They have coffee, sandwiches, soup, and baked goods. Nothing pretentious… good old yummy goods perfect for a rainy day! Really liked the soup and a focaccia slice I had for lunch!

This place is so cool and smells delicious. Tried the apple danish with green tea and it was a perfect match. We got some muffins and banana bread to go, both absolutely delicious. Great service and great products.
