I admit that I am a fan of Small Victory’s croissants, but I don’t believe Small Victory as a whole provides good value for what you’re paying. The drinks here are on the smaller side, being only 8 oz for a small and 12 oz for a medium, though the prices ... are comparable to larger sized drinks nearby that are of similar quality. Moreover, $1.50 seems like an exorbitant amount for a *splash* of oat milk as a dairy substitute. This high surcharge is not indicated on any menu. While there is both an indoor and outdoor seating area, space is limited and the entrance is particularly congested during peak hours. The service is average, and the queues for ordering/pickup can be quite long. If you're planning to work or study, then perhaps go somewhere quieter with more space and better value. Read more
Very nice patio for a Sunday morning. The Croissant is very tasty and buttery. Inside is very dark but definitely warmer than sitting outside. I like their morning bun (onion and cheese) with coffee.
Finding a good croissant in Vancouver as french is quite a terrible experience. But this place is the first time I don't get rob for paying a 7$ croissant, good price, nice shape, good crispness, normal size, dense and airy inside. It's the best I had in Vancouver hands down. ... Only criticism would be the taste of butter is muted but honestly compared to everything else around it's the best. Read more
Would Return. A weekend driver for great coffee, expansive pastry options and decent seating. Mocha - not too sweet, mild cocoa, par. I really like the dine in cups. Perfect temperature. Chicken Pastry - essentially a very similar (but worse) to a Brekka Chicken pocket. Pastry is flaky without being too greasy. $10 ... is a bit much for what it is, but such is life. They have a huge range of other sweet and savoury items that would make you come back time and time again. Takes AMEX. Read more
I love this Small Victory location on Homer Street; the staff are Amazing and they have Excellent Customer Service! I’m sad that they are closing down as of May 25; it’s been my staple local bakery for the past two years. Try their avocado toast and ham & egg brioche ... sandwich, it’s my favourite! Read more
