I ordered this Rose de Macaron cake from Foret Noire for a family member's birthday. They call it Rose de Macaron at Foret Noire but at most other places where I've seen this dessert it's called Ispahan. The Ispahan is a traditional french dessert that combines the flavors of rose, ... raspberry and lychee. Isn't this cake gorgeous? It was a real treat to eat too! I loved the combination of flavors in this Rose de Macaron. The big chunks of canned lychee were my favourite part of the cake. Huge fan of lychee! Their croissants are really flakey, crispy and layered! I definitely enjoyed it. Cakes are not too sweet, and are pretty good as well. Lipstick chocolate is cute and not too expensive at $10 ish. A couple of dine in tables. Easy to find parking in neighborhood on the street.

The lady at the counter was really nice and cafe and toilet were spotless. The pastries were INCREDIBLE. My favourite was the passionfruit croissant which had a perfect balance of sweet and tartness. Honestly, I usually don't complain, but I went to this shop in the morning, and they had a tray and many types of croissants were on the tray, out of the container without any cover, and they were not ... fresh I think. My friend and I came here and we tried the viral cube croissant. It looked delicious from the outside but it was disappointing. The outside was really hard and dry and difficult to cut into. The inside middle was filled with cream and was soft; this way the only good part ... of the croissant. If you had the outside part of the croissant without the cream, it tasted plain and dry; for $10 I don't think it's worth the price. Read more
