Sai Woo - Vancouver, British Columbia

Kosoo at Chinatown is the hidden gem of downtown Vancouver. Their chicken was literally melting and spicy pork belly was extremely sweet and tender. The best part of the meal was spicy seafood soup that was comforting and rich. I highly recommend this restaurant.

First time trying the Deep Fried Chicken with cheese. It was average, I preferred the cheese cutlet. However the deep fried eel and and clam bibimbap was surprisingly delicious. Portions are generous, and great service. Would come back, but wouldn’t have ordered so many cheese dishes.

Real hipster place with great atmosphere, good for a night out with friends for some Korean food & soju. There were many people, but it wasn't too crazy busy, so 4 of us were able to get a table right away as a walk-in. We ordered deep-fried eel, clam bibimbap, fishcake ... soup & 막창볶음. I would strongly recommend deep-fried eel, as it's very unique, and also the 막창볶음, as it's very flavourful & fatty. The Korean/Canadian servers were friendly. The food was good. And nice atmosphere here. I put 30% of tips cuz the food was a nice and big discount. But all waitresses do not deserve any tips. My tips belong to kitchen people. Ye a robot serving machine might have better service than waitresses there. We stayed ... almost 90 minutes and the waitress never came to check our table. Only serve water/ orders one. It's the server's job doesn't mean deserves tips. I don't think I come back. Good atmosphere though. Read more

The new menus were great!!!! The beef tartar was fresh, which melts into your mouth. The grilled pork was perfectly seasoned with a sweet marinade. To top it off, the seafood soup was the highlight of the dinner. Definitely recommend this spot!
