Wow what an experience. We came in for brunch on a Sunday morning, surprisingly got the patio seat, great vibe. The food was some of the best fusion I've ever had. We enjoyed the chicken and waffles, which takes the Cake for the best chicken in waffles I've ever tasted. ... The waffles we're fluffy and light, and the chicken matched it perfectly, also light airy and tender. We also had the pork belly furikake bowl which was amazing. The service was also wonderful. Great spot. Get the chefs menu. Very small and intimate dining room. Service is impeccable and the food has very unique and delicious flavours. Everything was prepared perfectly. Beer and wine list was on point. Great value considering what you’re getting.

One of the best tasting menus in the city. Give them a heads up and they can make the entire thing vegetarian! They even came up with a brilliant and unique pairing for it which exposed us to a variety of wine, sake and cocktails. Cute space, really nice design ... and fantastic service. Mak N Ming is the right place to enjoy a creative tasting menu, topped with an exquisite dessert. A simple and unassuming design of that small place makes you feel comfortable and welcomed. I would call the chef's menu somewhat unconventional, as it represents the fusion of Japanese and ... Pacific Northwest cuisines. Of course, there are hits and misses, but overall you won't be disappointed. The service is relaxed, which I consider being a good thing.
