The food is tasty and delicious. It becomes one of my favorite Thai food in Vancouver. Highly recommended their pad thai, papaya salad, curry and tomyum soup
Thailicious on Hastings and Nanaimo is run by That Away Home (they have a few other locations around town). Dropped by for lunch in mid-November. I was surprised that they still had affordable lunch combos ($12.95) which included a freshly fried spring roll chock full of vermicelli noodles). The Thai coconut green ... curry with chicken was very good. I asked for medium spice and it had a nice kick to it. The chicken and eggplant was tender and I would up finishing all of that yummy creamy curry sauce. The pad Thai noodles had a good chew to them and the prawns had a snappy bite. The chicken wings with Thai sweet sauce turned out really crunchy. Honestly can't beat the value here and the food was very satisfying. If I lived closer to here, I'd be having this for lunch everyday. Read more
This is the first time that I go here since they renewed the place (not long ago) and I believe the essence of it has kinda stayed. Although it would be nice to see some dishes stay (specially vegetarian ones), I believe the food is really tasty and the drinks ... are awesome, as well as the people that are really friendly. I kinda miss the murals from before though, or some colorful touch somewhere. Read more
Khob khun ka ขอบคุณค่ะ A local, family-ran Thai eatery boasting an authentic vibrant, flavorsome and mouth-drooling menu at low-key fare off the strip. I hauled a lunch feast of the Crispy Tofu เต้าหู้ and Pad See Ew ผัดซีอิ๊ว which was all incredibly yummy, very well seasoned with a knockout peanut satay ... and oyster seasoning with huge plentiful portions. I totally dig the fact they use authentic dry Thai spices which is great, I got the spiciest level which was an extremely pleasant bit of heat to some super chowy yum noodles! This has been one of my best Thai Uber Eats experiences due to the flavor, amount of oil is a perfect amount for takeout. Support local businesses! Read more
Ordered from Uber pad Thai with extra chicken.... I received the least amount of chicken I've ever had on a pad thai even with double meat (unless it was an error and they didn't see it, I don't know. First time ordering from them) ... Those 4 pieces was all I ... got. (One of them looks like chicken, but it's tofu) The spices were good, but that's all. Noodles were dry, the small amount of chicken was dry. I don't think I've ever experienced that before. Edit: still hungry after eating it all. Chicken was dry, not enough noodle, veg, chicken for 35$. Read more
