The service was top-notch. The staff were friendly, lovely, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the food. They were more than happy to make recommendations and explain each dish, which made the whole experience even better. We ordered a bunch of shareable items, Sashimi, otoro, udon, king crab. All high quality ingredients ... and fresh! Can’t forget we ended off with the strawberry daifuku and wow! Every bite felt like heaven! I also have to mention the drink menu. They have a great selection of sake, wine, and cocktails. We did order a bottle of sake by recommendation of the server and it was so smooth! I have been converted! Overall, Octopus Garden is a must-visit if you're in Vancouver and love Japanese food. I've passed by this place every day for years on my way to work, I'm moving out of town soon and wanted to finally try their omakase before leaving. So glad I found the time for it, had a fantastic and enormous variety of dishes in a cozy and highly ... social environment. I tend to be rather introverted but Sada-san is a wonderfully enthusiastic conversationalist and really tied the whole experience together. Great experience! Fish was so fresh and such good quality. Reservations should be made in advance. Celebrated my birthday and they sand happy birthday to me which was so nice. Also received complimentary dessert which was a bonus 😊😊

Best Japanese food in Town! If you can't go to Japan, just visit octopus garden. Chef Sada is the best chef I've ever met.
