Overpriced and poor quality. I ordered a medium tomato bocconcini salad, a small pasta with meatballs and a tandoori wrap all to go with 2 bags of Hardbite chips. I wish I’d paid more attention to the tomato bocconcini salad before ordering because it was mostly cheap canned black tomatoes and ... jarred pimento stuffed green olives. The tomatoes were few and far between and I have never had such chewy and dry bocconcini. Just awful. The woman behind the counter stuffed it so full that it came to more than $16. The tomato pasta with meatballs was stuffed so full that it squished the pasta into a mushy mess and would have been enough for a grown adult to eat as an entire entree. The tandoori wrap I ordered was also unappealing. It had chicken, lettuce, and peppers in it. The chicken was anything BUT tandoori chicken… honestly don’t know what it was supposed to be. Add in the 2 bags of chips and tax and this all came to $47. Forty seven dollars. For what should have been a tandoori chicken wrap, a small side of pasta and meatballs, and a medium side of tomato bocconcini pasta. Are the staff trained to stuff containers with as much as they possibly can in order to charge customers more and increase bill totals? This is poor customer service. There is no way that a small lunch for a mother and her 2 year from a deli should ever come to $47… and if it does, it better be a lot better than the food I received today. Hardbite chips… 5 stars. Except they too are overpriced at Max’s. Read more
