We came here for a light lunch with a friend and their homey HK style food and drinks really hit the spot. We enjoyed the combo sets they had and it was very good. I'd like to come back here again when I am in town!
The fresh mango cake was absolutely heavenly. The thin fruit slices were so fresh and tasty and the not-too-heavy whipped cream with the light cake base was just so well done. Also got a bunch of really tasty smaller pastries that were SUCH good value - amazing egg tarts, pineapple ... bun, Mexico bun… all these things for under $50. Their yin yang (coffee/tea mix) is my favorite!! Be careful with their massive sugar bottles tho, it will give you twice the sugar you want! We had French toast, pineapple bun, and broccoli soup; and they were all excellent….and inexpensive. Cash only. Their French toast is so different from western kind ... but so good. It’s a must try. Been coming here on and off for the last 20+ years. In my opinion, this is one of the best Hong Kong style cafe in Vancouver that has upheld the quality of food throughout the years! It has the perfect balance between quality, quantity and price. ... Although I do not live close to Chinatown but I will always pay a visit when I'm in the area. Their hong kong style white cream sauce/soup varieties is one of the best in Vancouver. Can't beat their all day breakfast! Don't forget to get their pineapple bun with a slice of butter! :) Read more
