Good food, good portions, good vibes and service and very welcoming family-run joint. Feels like a staple of the Drive. We always come here over others on Commercial serving similar food we have tried. Great if you are looking for rolls and other simple Japanese fare.

Pros: -Good amount of filling, not skimpy on the amount of pieces and size of each roll -Creative roll selections, not too many rolls that were just a california roll with something on top. -Lots of wasabi and ginger -Fresh tasting fish Cons: -Rice was a bit undercooked -Yaki-udon had too much sauce and was quite oily -We ... didn’t get any tea/were not offered any though everyone else had some. -Service was mediocre, nobody came around to fill up our water even though we tried to get their attention. -The agedashi tofu was disappointing. Uber order. The Saba was a bit dry but tasty. It wasn’t fishy at all, had a really nice grilled flavour. The Oshi has a ton of rice, and the rice is a bit undercooked and definitely under seasoned. The Oshi topping was done well. Flavourful. The spinach gomaae had a ... good sauce. But the spinach itself was very chewy. Overall the food was good. We have been coming to Kojima for years. The staff are very friendly and are genuinely happy to see us each time we come. The food is consistently good and always tastes fresh. Attentive service, tasty + reasonably priced food. Lots of options on the menu. Some of the rolls were quite dry. Comfortable booths, and quiet atmosphere. The interior is bit old, and could be cleaner. Washrooms are wheelchair accessible.
