It’s a good restaurant with friendly staff. The only minus point we have is the fact you order tapas style but the menus are digital via QR code. Great ambiance and atmosphere. The service was quick and attentive. We sat near the bar so didn't get the view outside but it was a busy night so it was understandable. The food was ok to us. I recently enjoyed a meal at Hapa in their happy hour. The Pork Ichiyaki, prepared in a sizzling hot bowl right at our table, was the standout dish. Paired with both cold and hot sake, the flavors were enhanced perfectly. Went here during visit to Vancouver to catch Canucks playoff game. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Friendly vibe. Dark inside with only a couple of TVs, but were playing basketball and hockey. Waitresses were very attentive and kind. We got smokey salmon sushi, hapa sushi, and yaki udon. The ... Udon was very good- different from anything I've had in past but not big on noodles. Hapa sushi was ok, but salmon was very good. I would def recommend the whiskey sour; other drinks were subpar. We went for a friend's birthday dinner and had a great time! The food was delicious for the most part, and the servers were all very friendly and accommodating. We ordered lots of different dishes to share but some definite standouts were: miso seafood poutine, torched saba sashimi,, beef tataki, and ... pork belly lettuce wraps. We also ordered a bottle of sake to share which came in a chilled bamboo bottle that looked very fancy.
