One of the worst Chinese restaurants I have tried in Vancouver, this will be my first and last time going here. The chicken feet was straight up sad, they had the worst Chinese donut in rice wrap that I have had in my life. The rice roll was super thick ... and I couldn’t even stomach a whole bite of it with how soggy the donut was inside. Overall, I did not fully enjoy a singular item that we ordered. The service was not bad and the atmosphere was nice, lots of space and not too loud even though it was busy. The ladies going around with carts is definitely a gimmick. I remember when lots of restaurants use to have that and now there rarely are any which I think is for the best because the items in those carts turn out to be pretty stale by the time that we get it and it made sense that every item we got was pretty terrible. Generous portion, definitely need to come in with more than 4 people! The menu is no pictures so I made sure to take some of my own this time 😆 *i was happy with the 2 servers that came by our section frequently..they were calm and easy to talk to! Delicious, inexpensive Dim Sum in a classic eating hall. We got 5 dishes for approx $60 & could not finish all plates due to the generous portions. The service is so fast. The options are plentiful. The carts are still in action so you can inspect a dish before you order it, or ... you can indicate your order up front & they’ll bring the dishes to you as they are ready. The shrimp dumplings are their signature dim sum item and they are huge! The shrimp is good but the wrapping tastes kind of mushy. Not as “elastic” and chewy as it should be. The other dim sums are normal and generous in portion. Overall not good except quite salty. Need ... to drink a lot of water / tea to wash it down. It’s more quantity over quality kind of dim sum. Enjoyable dim sum experience - gets super busy here. Limited parking makes it hard to get a spot though. Had to wait a good 30 mins or so to get a table for 4. They go by cart style and also via a sheet you can order from. The table clothes ... took me for a surprise - plastic but yet so stylish and grippy (an extra tidbit). Dim sum is priced relatively average and the dim sum itself comes in a good portion (large/full shrimp such as the haw gor or siu mai). No thirsty feeling afterwards either. Read more
