Five Elements Cafe - Vancouver, British Columbia

Came in lunch time to grab pick up order. Not a single staff member in sight. Had to stand around waiting despite there being lots of customers dining in house. 1 star off. Prices were good and reasonable. Came back to pick up my takeout order, only server in the ... house was washing straws and cups in the sink. Do they wash and reuse straws?!! Gross! Also ignored me while I stood around me waited. 1 star off. Food was served in styrofoam. We are in the middle of an apocalyptic environmental crisis. Seriously? Styrofoam? And not recyclable plastic? Shame on you! 1 star off. Food was ok but lacked flavour. Extremely bland and insufficient sauce provided. Spring roll was over fried and rock hard. It is a pretty decent sized, counter service (kind of fast casual) pho shop. The service was friendly and the vegan bun bo hue was delicious. I was glad to see a good number of vegan options/listed modifications to make meals vegan. I look forward to trying new items next ... time. Read more

Well here we go... Personally, I have tried so many Pho restaurants and I can say that this place has tasty dishes. I tried the Pho Satay Peanut and the Crispy Egg noodles, both where filling and delicious. This is a right place where to go for a dish and leave, but it ... is not place where to chill at; otherwise, you will end it up a bit smelly. The tables are not as clean as it should be but still good for a not picky couple where to dine out. Finally, I would recommend this place just because their food taste good. Read more

Nice place for pho or anything they have in the menu, prices are cheap, food quality and flavour is good! It is kind of a self service restaurant where you go to the cashier, order, pay, seat,they bring your food, eat. Place size is ok, you will always see people in ... the restaurant but there is no waiting time. Order whatever, all is good! Read more

I would put five stars if they had table service, AND didnt pre mox their vietnamese coffee. Other than that the pho, subs, cripsy chow mein and other menu items are amazing. The gelato is a good price too.
