Reviews for Cafe Gloucester in Vancouver, British Columbia
Enjoyed my omelet breakfast with coffee and toast there. Location is great. Parking is metered street parking at $1/hr, not bad. Not too crowded when I arrived around 10:15 am. Most likely crowded during lunch hours. Lots of restaurants around here so plenty to choose from, but I think this ... cafe is probably very reasonably priced for what you get. Read more
This is a solid staple in Hong Kong cafe style food. Their classics are always a hit and well made. The baked pork chop rice or fried flat noodle with beef are always my two go-to dishes here. The place has definitely aged, but the food is still solid. There’s a few ... parking spots at the back of the restaurant that are free, but they’re shared with their dumpsters so it’s a very tight fit, but free parking is free parking. Overall, a definite go to for Hong Kong cafe food if you’re in the area. Glad to see they’re still doing strong after all these years! Read more
The first time we found this cafe was when we were on the way home after business. The store name just drew our attention before we looked it up on Google map. Cool just give it a try. That was late night right before they were closed. We ordered a ... very classic Hong Kong dish — Portuguese baked chicken with coconut milk. It was fantastic as well as the cold drink and its atmosphere is also pretty Hong Kong. We heard that they have some steak promos so we came again few days after. At the second time, we ordered a steak combo, a 12 oz ribeye, an authentic fried rice and a soup. The drink was included. Frankly, its portion is quite unbeatable so we recommend this place, even though some staff are less considerate. Read more
I haven’t frequent this HK style cafe in many years and decided to come in for lunch since I was in the area. The food came out super small portion even though the pricing for dishes has gone up. The flavours were still tasty. We got a fried rice noodle ... xo sauce dish not shown and a fried rice love bird in Portuguese style. Overall it’s not bad but if you’re hungry make sure to order more. Read more
Huge portion. Food is great! Their baked items were most famous.
