We wanted to get some dim sum and found this restaurant on happy cow. The woman who took our order brought us tea and refilled our pot when low. The dim sum menu isn’t automatically brought out, but she had no issue grabbing it when requested. The dishes were all delicious and ... we are glad we got to visit during our stay. Read more
We went there for a casual dinner, the people were friendly service was great, as far as food is concerned some dishes were really good, some were a huge disappointment. Quantity was less as compared to the price. Ambiance was okay, overall the space was clean but the mugs in ... which they offered water had an awful smell to it. Food- 6/10 Service- 9/10 Value for money- 6/10 Ambiance- 7/10 1. Chicken drumsticks- it was great, almost all tables had that dish ordered so looks like its a star dish for the restaurant 2. Assorted vegetables tempura- it was huge disappointment, i know its fried but it was dripping oil, i could just taste the oil in my mouth couldn’t taste the tempura 3. Taro roll- it tasted good, they looked exactly how they should look like, but however something was missing, may be the core product wasn’t good quality. 4. Kun pao veggies with mock chicken- the gravy did not taste like any kun pao gravy i have had before so many times. However, whatever it tasted like, it was good and had a nice flavour to it. 5. Spicy beans: They were really good, quality of the basic product was good, taste was good too 6. Chicken with mushroom rice and vegan cheese: it was very bland, no flavour, huge disappointment Read more
The food was absolutely amazing! I was very pleased and positively surprised by how amazing it was. The faux meats were very tasty and the seasoning was spot on. I'm definitely coming back for more!
Let down 😔 Food: 4/5 ❤️ Service: 2/5 💔 I was in the PNW for my birthday & I couldn't stop talking about coming here. My omnivore family LOVES dim sum & Chicago has no vegan-friendly Chinese restaurants. I had to call 2x to verify prices & dim sum hours; the first time I ... called, I was asked to call again later...? (Special DS items are now $8 & regular $5.50, dine in only, served all day) When we came, my grandma used the bathroom & couldn't work the towel dispenser, so we asked for a napkin. The male server said he'll give it to us after we ordered; is there a reason we wanted it now? 😓 Wha...? The dim sum was decent (all of the 虾饺 & 潮州粉果 fell apart when we picked them up), the drum sticks were 😍 while the olive greens fried rice was a terribly sad portion for the price. Read more
Amazing food! Went for the dim sum beteeen 11 and 3 and ordered the fried fish among other things! Was extremelt surprised at how fishy it tasted despite it not being real fish! The soy chicken drumsticks were also very well although quite pricey in my opinion being around 2.00 a ... piece. Would definitely come again with more people to try out the rest of their menu.
