I stayed here for a work related trip. I love booking unique hotels and thought I would have an exceptional experience. The front desk staff are friendly. The hotel is clean. The rooms are clean and comfortable but didn't give me a wow effect. When I arrived, I noticed the ... front desk offered someone checking in ahead of me a bottle of water. I'd just arrived from the airport. No one helped with my bags as I entered the hotel or up to my room. When it was time to check out, I wasn't offered any assistance as well. I love a great turn down service and believe it would be an added touch. Coffee and tea are offered in the rooms but no water to accompany them. An assortment of teas during the day and and a herbal bedtime tea at turn down would be a nice addition. The book Unreasonable Hospitality is a great book, I'd recommend. For the cost and given the appearance of the hotel, I believe more could be given in terms of service. The Intercontinental in Lyon France has gotten it right as it relates to service. It would be great if the GM could spend some time there bring back any ideas. In all, the hotel took care of what was necessary but nothing beyond that to set themselves apart from many other hotels.
