My wife and I had drinks and appetizers at this great little restaurant in the Templar Hotel Toronto. The service was outstanding, and Danny our waiter/bartender was fantastic. He made us some amazing cocktails and it was obvious that he loves what he does. Danny and another male employee at ... the bar were very informative about the menu and the unique cocktails that they create. I had the Lamb Brains, and my wife had the Duck Ravioli. A modern underground space that manages to feel airy but intimate thanks to clean lines and some well placed lighting, though still manages to feel a touch dated at the same time. Not necessarily the hippest decor. But service was friendly and servers were knowledgeable about the menu. Food was ... very flavourful, though portions are likely on the small side for most diners, especially considering the price. I didn't try it but my companion LOVED the pudding chomeur, so save room for dessert! Pastas were al dente with a bit of chew, handmade at the restaurant, and very lovely. The drinks are amazing. Definitely on the expensive side, but worth it, in my opinion. The head bartender, Brooks, is so passionate for his craft and it really shows. He's also generally just a really cool down to earth guy. Have a seat at the bar and get to know ... him and hear all about the tricks of the trade. Read more

My wife and I have been here on several occasions and can't recommend it enough. First off, it's a very welcoming sophisticated layout with retro elements. They have a beautiful bar/lounge area upstairs and the restaurant section downstairs. One of the best tasting menu's I've had in the city. Every ... dish is unique and interesting. Drinks are solid and service is awesome. Super friendly! Would recommend. Oh and did I mention great dessert? We booked the chef's table at Parcae, but due to complications that night were unable to be in the kitchen. The tasting menu was very creative and meticulously made, although as the previous poster mentioned, the portions are smaller. This is not a cheap restaurant, but I think the experience ... as worth it. Some highlights include the lamb brains, and duck ravioli.
