This hidden gem was hands down the best chef omakase I've ever had. It started off with a huge uni hand roll (almost double the size of a normal hand roll), following by a number of sushi from Japan. The experience was definitely uni-que. Almost every other sushi had uni ... in it. It had the traditional sushi, along with some creative creations made by the chef. The freshness of the fish and quality was amazing. You're definitely getting bang for your buck. If you don’t know what uni, otoro or wagyu are, then you will probably find this sushi restaurant average. To be able to find some good uni in this non-Asian neighborhood is a gem! Their uni roll is so worth it!

Looking at the Google reviews is very misleading! You need to go there and try the tasting menu. Once you do, you will realize that in actuality, this place deserves a 5 star! The tasting menu was very reasonable for the size of each sushi piece and the variety of ... fish. We had everything from amberjack to blue fin to mirugai to Hokkaido uni and BC uni. Amazing experience done by a great chef! A must come if you love rare cuts and have a stomach bug enough! Quite filling for a tasting menu as well. Read more

My favourite mom and pop-run sushi place! We've been loyal regulars since they were at Yonge and Alexander, and in our recent move to this part of town, we were happy to find out that they were not located far from us yet again. Same atmosphere, same nice people, same ... delicious and generous portion sizes (including the best fish to rice ratio you'll ever find in the city). It always feel so intimate and relaxed here, too, like I'm just stepping into my living room. We hope to keep coming back for years to come! Read more
