Stopped here for a light snack on the way home from a bike ride. Nice patio, lovely wait staff and delicious sushi — especially the bbq Unagi. We could not get enough! 😉

Loyal customer of Guirei. Have dined in and gotten take out here many times over the past few years. Great and consistent quality, portion size and presentation at a fair price. In my view, the quality and freshness of the sashimi at Guirei is comparable or even better than some of ... the higher end Japanese restaurants in town (e.g. Minami, Miku). Guirei is a hidden gem in the neighborhood. Highly recommend the sashimi combo, sushi/sashimi combo, Ume Sushi A and B. Lunch combos are amazing value! Read more

I absolutely loved the food. We ordered Tempura Shrimp, Miso Soup and Maki Love Boat A. I am not a big fan of Miso Soup but I loved it here. Tempura was nicely done and delicious. Our most favourite was the love boat which had assorted combos of Maki Sushis. I ... would definitely come again. The service was courteous, although in the beginning there was a wait time because there was no staff to acknowledge us on entry. I hope they increase their staff count as it seemed like only two waitress were working for the night among 10-15 tables. Read more

First to start with the service being really tentative and commonly coming around to ask if we ever needed anything. Just odd the durations of receiving basic items such as soy sauce, water, ginger and wasabi even from the start when we had to ask for it when normally at ... other sushi restaurants. These items would already be served with the food when they come out. Overall the food and sushi was good portions and quality; nothing tasted fishy. Recommend trying out their spicy scallops rolls. Also for a long duration for our sushi boat coming out. The restaurant gave us a tray of spring rolls on the house. That was appreciated for the wait durations.
