This place isn’t fancy, it’s more like home style, warm and welcoming. It was a quiet weekday night and only a few tables. Our server is nice enough to give us a larger table. Food is great overall. The clams are really tiny and slightly overcooked but other than that, most dishes ... are wonderful. Must order some bread to soak up the sauce! The steak is tender and juicy. Parking on street is difficult to find, however, there's plenty of parking at the Broadview subway station. Night time parking is just a flat fee of $7 until the next day 7am. Read more
Fantastic and a must visit! Great service and its even better that our waiter was very friendly, knowledgeable, spoke Spanish (Trivia alert - he was from the same island as Nadal the tennis player is from - !). Ambiance was very comfy and ... adorned with Spanish motif and trinkets and felt family run. Ok, the food. We enjoyed the Winterlicious menu today and bacon wrapped dates were perfect. Crispy bacon (and not soggy like Ive had elsewhere) around succulent sweet dates, complemented with almond slivers - oh my a gastronomic attack!. My tortilla was pretty good as the potato slices were tender and tasty - I would have said great but I wish it was a little more crispy on the outside (Personal peeve as I like a crispy crust). The main - the tenderloin was so tender and flavourable on top of a bed of french fries (very tasty fries and freshly cut as opposed to frozen fries - I think) - I'd recommend you get their whisky sauce on the side, to keep the fries crispy but that sauce compliments the beef so well and not overpowering like a butter sauce. The dessert - the poached pear was very freshing and also looked fantastic. My custard was chilled right for a custard (which is not being served ad room temperature) and it had, the right amount of sauce at the top (some places, it is overflowing and overwhelms the taste of the custard). And you have to get the Embrujo Limonada drink - it is tangy and sweet, and so refreshing... It was good to learn they make their 'own simply syrup' used in their receipe. I will come back and try their jamon, paella, tapas and perhaps their flamenco show, soon. Read more
This place is charming, with it's colourful interiors and flamenco show on Fridays. Stopped by for winterlicious and the food was pretty good too. Standouts were the absolutely amazing bacon wrapped dates with almonds and honey, and the poached marsala pears. Also got the beef tenderloin with whiskey sauce and fries ... which is one of their most popular items - beef was pretty tender and whiskey sauce was interesting. Service is friendly. Place has a warm vibe. It's like a party in someone's home. Read more
I really enjoyed our dinner and the show. The paella was a touch oily, and they could give more bread for the baked cheese with honey, but flavor and freshness were all really good. The
Amazing experience dining here at Tapas at Embrujo. Wait staff were amazing and the food was delicious . Paella was great and well worth the wait. The tapas were also good , but I wish the bread wasn’t so difficult to cut. Overall had a great time and enjoyed it!
