Very good food, reasonable price. The service here used to be poor, but in the last year or so the new servers have really improved.
I love the place personally and have been several times. Sure, the service cannot be said to be top-notch - servers were not that personable but the service was always fast. It is the great taste that keeps me and my friends coming back for more. The fish in spicy ... sauce and slice pork in chili garlic sauce are our favourites, you cannot go wrong with these staple dishes. Read more
3 stars because food was good, pricing is reasonable, but service was lacking. We went during a promo, ordered a set dinner for 2, and an additional main. The dishes were unusually flavorful (not just numbing heat) and more authentic than most Sichuan restaurants downtown. To be clear, this is ... authentic budget food, not authentic fine dining. Expect crude presentation and plating, and inexpensive ingredients. The bang bang chicken was served with bones intact, but the sauce had a unique flavor (for downtown Toronto). The fish pieces came with the skin on them and small bones inside, but the chilly oil bath they were poached in had a good balance between the high notes, mid and base tones. The mushrooms on Chinese greens was neck to neck with most decent places in Chinatown. Unfortunately, the steamed rice was hard and dry. The service was unprofessional; the server did not know they were running a promotion(!) and had to bring out the supervisor to verify our order. I will return from time to time - when I crave those flavors and don't want to drive 45 mins north - without expectations on service or ambiance. Read more

They probably need to deal with the unsold food materials. But this kind of thing... Seriously... Read more

A nice spot for Chinese lunch or dinner. I recommend the cold beef jerky (spicy), dan dan noodles (slightly spicy), and the sweet and sour fish (sweet). Service is usually quick and polite even when it is quite busy.
