This place used to be one of the best spots to get a sub. The staff were salt-of-the-earth types, always up for a chat and they made sure your subs were top notch. The turkey bacon was my go-to for years. I always raved about it to everyone and sent ... tons of business their way. Not sure what happened—maybe the original owners sold the place—but the new staff have the same energy as at any Tim Hortons these days. Ordered the belly buster sub, 12 inch. Nice meal. Meats are cold cuts. Having it toasted doesn't warm it much. With subway subs, I find that I am hungry soon after. Hopefully it won't be the case here since there's plenty of protein. Staff is friend. The place is kinda ... small. Read more

The best place for classic style submarine sandwiches in the downtown core. Consistent, reliable, good with special requests and a reasonable price for the ingredient quality. Everyone always loves a good sandwich. Belly Buster Sub is a great place to go if you're looking for a quick and tasty lunch. It is exactly what you'd expect it to be, a humble submarine shop making sandwiches with fresh ingredients. Tastes much cleaner than Subway, but also a ... little pricier. A good option to add to the lunch rotation! As for my order, I had to go with the "Belly Buster Sub": roast beef, salami, mushrooms, gravy, and your choice of garnishes. I expected the gravy/mushrooms to be warm, but the whole sub was quite cold. Hard to say if I would've preferred it warm, it was still a very good sandwich. I'll know for next time.
