Service: The waitress we had was super dry. We asked if she had any recommendations, she said “no” bluntly and then back tracked afterwards. They had some specials of the day – one of them was octopus. When we asked how much it was – she told my friend and I ... to look for the price on the menu. We did that but it didn’t seem to be listed on the menu, so we ended up ordering something else. Food: The mains we got were around $25 - $30 each. My friend got grilled fish (with rice) and I got grilled squid (which came with vegetables). Portions were fair. The dishes themselves were simple but tasty. One gripe is that they would not let us get tap water, so my friend and I ordered a large bottle of water to share ($5). I guess that’s fine, but I’ve never been to a restaurant in Toronto where they refuse to give you tap water in a glass (especially if you are ordering food there). Overall: Would I return? Probably not. I did enjoy the style of food, but other aspects of the experience weren’t quite right for me. Next time I’m craving Portuguese food, I think I would rather try my luck elsewhere in the city. Read more
