Liberty Shawarma - Toronto, Ontario

Been living in the area since 2009 so I know this liberty shawarma and it was my go to spot at one point. Remember the portions they used to give for the shawarma plate? Well I got about a third of that today. Just look at other reviewers pictures for ... comparison. Unfortunately the last few times have been terrible with the hard rice, soggy veggies and downhill quality of the wrap the last 4-5 times. The portion is an absolute joke today. Amazing service! We loved the energy from Santiago! He’s the best! The daily specials are great! My partner love to come in since all specials come in sets of 2. Recommend if you’re in the area for huge portions, good service, and good quick eats!

The concerns are regarding to the cleanness. It is dirty inside of the food place. The food is either charred or half cold, not carefully prepared. Horrible existing in the neighborhood.

After the first visit I wanted to leave a 5 star review but because of all the other reviews I decided to wait for the second time. The first take away was served by a lady - the food was rich, fresh and super delicious. The meat was tasty - some ... tahini salad was in the chicken shawarma box and it was overall a very good meal. Second time - same order - sadly a pure disappointment. The bag was already was lighter than the first time. Meat was horrible (it was that kind of meat that you get if you are the first customer since an hour and the meat was way too long circling around ) it was super hard, and some pieces were even black ish. Some ingredients were missing compared to the first time. No shawarma sauce on the meat at all. Everything under the meat was just chaos and didn’t taste very good … again it was not a busy day so I have gotten what was being there for hours. I was served by a guy this time. Very old vegetables and toppings. The food was not matching the price and the meat was almost raw. The man was rude and the kitchen was filled with oil and filth. The pieces of meat and leftovers were everywhere on the countertop where he was cooking. The chicken was mediocre ... at best while the portion was insufficient in quantity for what I paid. 13$ for a very small pita with a small scoop of meat. I will never come back again and will recommend nobody to go there. Awful. Read more
