One of the best Mexican restaurants I have been so far in Toronto area. Food was super good and tasted authentic . Place was not too big but food n staff was nice . SO GOOD!!! Crispy Shrimp Diablo taco is my favourite! So delicious. Also they have really interesting tacos like octopus or jerk lobster... drool. The chips are the best... so thick and crunchy dipped in their salsa is a must! It’s hard to find consistently good tacos in the city and ... this particular Playa Cabana is the best in in my opinion! Also, for those who drink, their tequila selection is diverse and delightful. Typically the highlight of this place would be the food and the cool drinks but the service is as good as the stuff in the menu! Servers are super attentive, efficient and friendly (Jeremy is the man), and food obviously is amazing. Atmosphere is cool for large groups and music ... is also great. One of my favourites! Yummy fish 🌮!! It was a very enjoyable dinner. Loved the food. No AC, very hot. lol. Server was attentive and quick. Food came fasr, didn't have to wait long. Would definitely come again and try other dishes.

I have to admit that this place is not very inviting from the outside. I have driven by and walked by so many times. I finally tried it, and am glad I did. Best part is the super friendly service. Food is colourful and fresh. The classic margarita was perfect. ... The "poutine" churros with teeny tiny marshmallows were amazing. It's on the expensive side. Two slight downsides: 1. It's really tight and squishy at the tall bar tables at the front. 2. The place is rather noisy. I arrived just before the dinner rush. As I was finishing they dimmed the lights and cranked up the volume of the music. Glad I didn't stay much longer after that. Read more
