Amazing little hometown bar with great inexpensive food, even better when the back patios open during summer imo.

We've driven by this place for probably 8 years, heading to other establishments in Highland Creek, but never stopping to check out Amigo's. It's not much to look at from the outside to be honest, having a dive-y bar vibe. Turns out it's nicer on the inside, with a well ... worn but cozy neighbourhood sports bar look. Tried summer weekend brunch on their back patio, and we really enjoyed it. Tried it again on a game night for the wings special and we're hooked. Service is friendly, the menu isn't huge or fancy, but it's very good, very well priced, and the daily specials are hard to beat. It's now become one of our family's favorites. After spreading the word about the game night specials, it tops the go-to list for my group of neighbourhood buddies. And that's the general vibe when you come inside. It's a gathering place for many neighbourhood groups, families, sports teams (some nights it's filled with little league families or local hockey/softball/soccer teams), sports fans (Leafs, Jays, Raptors), friends young and old, and classmates (UofT Scarborough and Centennial College are nearby). Glad we finally checked it out! Have yet to catch karaoke night, sounds like a lot of fun. p.s. We enjoyed our lunch at this location. We ordered 2 dishes. Lots of fries! Everything was fresh! Will be returning!

Went here for Friday night karaoke and it has very quickly become a regular go to spot. Burgers and wings are good, friends had the souvlaki and swear by it. Great vibes, great food, great service. Sammy,Tony and Sonia are great,very warm and welcoming even with a packed house. Sonia ... always remembers your drink order and has it ready when you arrive. I had given this restaurant 5 stars when I visited here 2 years ago. But based on how it went yesterday, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone. And its mostly because of the service. The person serving/bartending there yesterday (Sunday) evening, it almost felt like they were trying to avoid ... eye contact with the customer lest the customer asks them to get something. I ordered 2 drinks and she refused to bring me my second drink, stating that she can only serve one drink per customer at a time which I found funny. But its still okay. However, she never came back and asked me if I wanted the second drink even after I finished my first drink. So we left after getting only a beer. Read more
