Osmow’s - Toronto, Ontario

Walked 15 minutes there in the rain for lunch upon recommendation from a friend. Ordered Chicken on the Sticks. Got back to work, fries were raw. Sorry, but the new Paramount on Spadina/Richmond is way better quality.

I've had osmows at other locations and love there chicken on the rocks so I was excited when they opened up a downtown location. I went into this location and the location is quite tiny. When I arrived there was 1 person who was on their phone. I ... had to grab his attention for service. Once I grabbed his attention to order I noticed that he already had chicken sitting on the grill from quite sometime. He made my order with the chicken which looked like it had been on there forever with rice and put the garlic sauce on top. I politely asked for extra sauce where I was told it would cost extra. I came here last night 30 minutes before closing and the cashiers told me that only 4 menu items are available. I asked them why and they said that they didn't have enough ingredients. Normal restaurants are fully stocked with ingredients weeks in advance so I assumed they were too ... lazy to prepare the more complex items on their menu. Their menu has over 20+ items and just because I came before closing my choices have been narrowed down to 4 items. It was clear to me that the employees were lying and just wanted to go home early. They are deflecting business from this restaurant and I feel bad for the owner because I was going to spend a lot of money here. I still ordered even after they told me this - which was a huge regret. My chicken fries were mediocre. Low quality food prepared by low quality workers that want to go home early. Good fries.. but the shawarma had much to be desires. Terrible distribution of ingredients... my stomach did not take it well. My friends and I got different heat levels but it all seemed to taste the same, they just added more paste to increase spiciness.

Had the worst chicken shawarma of my life here. I'm pretty plain and asked for just chicken, lettuce and some sauces. Instead of the other toppings they took it upon themselves to fill up the rest of the wrap with fistfuls of cilantro . I could not eat it and ... had to throw it away.
