Came here on a Monday night about half an hour before close (we didn't realize!) and still felt very welcome by the owners and experienced very attentive service. The owners are a sweet, elderly couple who appeared to be the only ones working that night. I ordered the naengmyeon (cold noodle ... soup) and my partner ordered the fried udon with beef following appetizers of fried mandu (dumplings) and potato pancakes. Absolutely delicious meal at an excellent portion size! Felt very fresh and homecooked. Also great selection of banchan—made sure to ask for more kimchi as it was so flavourful. This unassuming restaurant is tucked away on Baldwin St, at a downstairs unit in a complex of several other restaurants. Please make note of this place and ensure you drop by on your next hunt for Korean food in the city :) We will definitely be stopping by again in the near future. Read more
Quaint place on Baldwin street. Very much a small business, so the meals feel very home-y. It's a great place to unwind with a small group and eat warm meals.
Ordered via UberEats because they have the BOGO deals for gamjatang, bibimbap and seaweed salad. I ordered all of those items and when I received the order, I was slightly disappointed in the amount of ingredients that was put into the gamjatang and bibimbap. Gamjatang, like the others mentioned here, was ... missing the potatoes. Worse of all, there wasn’t much soup. Three sips and the soup was finished. The pork bone however was a generous amount. As for the bibimbap, again, missing a lot of the meat portions. There was barely any meat, fet like I was eating a vegetarian rice. Giving 4 stars because I use to go here after school or after end of the semester exams so, lots of good memories here! Read more
Got take out here for the first time with their BOGO lunch special on Uber eats. Their pork bone soup was unfortunately missing the mark. It’s called Gamjatang but there wasn’t even Gamja (potato)! None! Only pork bones and broth. Didn’t feel nearly as hearty as other pork bone soups ... I’ve had in the past. Their bibimbap was tasty and the dumplings were okay. Overall I’m a little disappointed, but I have to give them an extra 1 star for the price. Would not want to purchase from here at the regular cost, but for the BOGO price it’s acceptable. Read more
Run by an elder couple, the resto is well-maintained and very neat. I ordered Dolsot Bibimbap and can taste that it's made of fresh ingredients; the sauce and the marinade of the side dishes are clean. Won't say it's cheap but the price is reasonable for the food quality they ... provided. Read more
