Been there twice and both times I've been underwhelmed (staff are great though). Their college location is better. This time I ordered veggie miso ramen with kale noodles and asked for no tofu as I can't eat it. Got all the way home and found out they added tofu. I ... couldn't eat it, so I had to scrounge for rice noodles in my cupboard. I was very angry considering I just spent $50 on this plus a shoyu ramen for my husband. Tbh the ambiance of this spot is great, super cool vibe. Wish I could say the same about the ramen; was it bad? No, but it was it as good as thought it was going to be? Also no. Delicious ramen! The temperature was perfect for my sensitive teeth and tongue. Just slurped the noodles away with my girlfriend and her family. Slurping symphony. We ordered the roasted garlic shoyu ramen, kottori shoyu ramen, spicy white sesame shio ramen, chicken shio ramen, and chicken karaage. Since the first two ... are common, I'll just say it was what we expected and good quality. The spicy white ramen is at a good spice level that my girl can handle and the chicken was perfectly juicy and tender! Not dry at all. The karaage is a four piece so if you have 5 people, tough luck - go ahead and fight over it. Oh and it had great flavour. 4/5 Overall for the Shoyu Ramen, where I paid 50% off the menu price, which was a key reason why I decided to try them. Otherwise I'm not sure on the value. The Tonkotsu based broth has a strong porky flavour, good thickness and fat. The noodles were perfectly cooked and thin ... with a bite to it. The pork was soft, but not fall apart like some other places. Flavour was good. The egg is perfect, good flavour and yolk colour. Skip the gyoza, it's not worth $8 let alone the $4 via Foodora. The staff are really sweet. Not too many choices but the ramen is tasty nonetheless. Although I found it has a lot of salt so make sure to grab something to drink. Also they can make it to go and give really good tupperware. Just a piece of advice, if ... you go with friends make sure one person saves a spot at the table. Read more
