Ajisen Ramen - Toronto, Ontario

The spicy Ajisen noodle has always been my favourite dish. The place was not busy although it was lunch time, maybe because the portion could be more generous and the price could be lower?

It was my first time trying the Tom Yum ramen. It was so good if you’re a fan of spicy food! I didn’t want to eat any meat at that moment, so I got the vegan harvest. Actually, it was quite expensive. Just some corn, broccoli, and kikurage cost me ... $18.99. 🤑 But the tom yum broth was really good and paired perfectly with the ramen. Prices have gone way up but the portions have gotten wayy smaller. You don't even get enough soup for the noodles if you order extra noodles like I did. The manager always seems grumpy. I came here because they were having a 50% off of their original ramen. The place had lots of seatings but they were super busy so I recommend coming early to avoid waiting for a table. The ramen was quite salty and oily for my liking. I wish it had ... more pork slices too. I would like to come back and try their other ramen. Hopefully, it won’t be as salty and greasy as the original one. We ordered the takoyaki as well. Read more

Here you can mix your ramen’s broth base with any of the meat options. Overall, the ramen tasted great but portions were smaller than what we expected. I had the mignon beef - very tender & tasty! Also, it was quite uncomfortable sitting on the black couches as they kept moving ... back and forth (any movement customers on the other side would make, would shake our seat). Respects for the sign on the door “Praise the Lord”. Got also a take-out from here - and I would say I liked the in-person experience better in terms of quality of food.
