Got the goat curry today and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Steady gives out generous portions and the price is reasonable.

Very flavourful food from an honest restaurant. This gentleman can cook. I like that I can taste the coconut milk in the rice and peas. Oxtail is great and the gravy is the best part. I went in to for oxtail and he honestly told me ... they were not ready. He said he could give me some as it was cooked but it wasn't cooked to the right tenderness. That's honesty! He could have served it up and would have spent the rest of the day trying to get meat off the bones, lol. I had the jerk chicken instead and it was great! The food here at Steady's was delicious and served a generous amount. I ordered 2 small meals (jerk chicken and curry goat) and a drink that came up to $30!! I also gave a tip and no thank you! As I entered the man working behind the counter did not ... even greet me, no friendly smile and looked so serious, he was also very slow in serving the food. Customer service and a friendly smile would not hurt especially when you're running a business! He offers limited menu items and they all come with rice and peas and a small coleslaw! They should have variety because not everyone eats rice! More disappointed with the service received than the food. The food does taste better than most Caribbean establishments I've been too. Food is so delicious and the cook is too chill. Just just felt happy to be in a store like this. The portions are very big and price is affordable.

We went there for the first time recently for jerk and stew chicken. It was delicious! The chef took great care in ensuring we had a balance of sauce, rice, chicken, vegetables in our takeout container.
