Via Cibo - Toronto, Ontario

My first time visiting there yesterday evening. I’m happy to have found this lovely place and will give it 10/10! The staff are very kind and accommodating (they even allowed us to bring a “birthday cake” from outside to celebrate somebody’s birthday there and even brought us extra plates and utensil). The ... place is clean, spacious with modern touch and there’s even an outside patio. Food is delicious and very reasonable priced. Good selection on pastas and pizza and would you believe they even serve Italian Gelato inside? They even have a “tuesday special” for pastas starting at around $12 ( can’t go wrong with that). The pizza and pasta were really good . The flavour on the pizza and pasta were really good . The meat on the pizza was good amount . I just wish they could cut it better because it was hard to take it apart without the meat falling down . ... But overall recommend checking it out . The portions were good too . Decided to check this place out before grocery shopping. First impressions are clean and contemporary. Interesting setup in that you go up to the counter to order cafeteria-style, and then they bring your food to your table; food that may not be authentic, but that doesn't stop it from being ... pretty delicious! All in all, it's a cute little establishment to stop by for a quick bite at a decent price, especially for lunch on the weekdays! Read more

It was okay. I wasn't sure what to do when I walked in. I assumed it was a standard Italian restaurant, but you order at a counter and if you're dining in, you find yourself a table and get a number so they can bring the food when ready. Easy enough, ... but not expected. The wait wasn't too long for our sausage pasta and a shrimp risotto, and ice water was served when we didn't order drinks from the counter. Overall, the food was good, but nothing amazing. I could see myself coming back to try more of the menu, but it's not really a "date night" type place and more for when you just want some quicker Italian food. The place is clean and the service, at the counter, was pleasant. If you're in the area, check them out, but I wouldn't go out of my way. Read more
