The food was very basic. Lower your expectations if you are ordering from here. Nothing was as advertised. Arugula salad didn’t have any goat cheese or ARUGULA in it. Positively the best restaurant on Bayview, in Leaside. Verdi offers great friendly service and the most delicious Italian inspired meals in a casual, inconspicuous, little spot in mid town Toronto. We've been several times this summer, and it never fails!! Last night we shared the antipasto which was delicious! ... These fries are INSANE!!!!! But the people running this place are so wonderful, good people. My husband and I often come here for our date night and it is such a pleasure. We also come here with our son who always has a wonderful time. There’s a cheesy pasta my son likes, but ... the calamari is also great, I have the steak often which comes on a bed of potatoes with mushrooms and vegetables (everything you want). My husband gets the pizza or pasta with meat sauce. Basically, it’s all good! Love this place :) Read more

Blown away by the service here! The lemon chicken was halal and the seafood pasta dish was delicious!!! Very fresh seafood! Coming back to the lemon chicken…. It was divine! The staff were friendly and the ambiance was very Italian... make me feel like I was Florence. Cosy warm ... and very good vibe! Its a 5 star from me! Love it! The Tri colore pizza tasted 10x better than the photo looks. Perfectly balanced toppings. The thin crust pizza is perfectly done. Unlike the deep fried elastics you get in some establishments the deep fried calamari were also perfectly done, with just the right amount of batter and cooking time. The service was ... attentive and we felt welcome. The corner bench seating we got was perfect for anyone over the age of 3 who normally can’t sit still in a chair. Read more
